UNTINTED NEUTRAL BASE PRODUCTS &
Product Lines or Colour series Produced from tinting
1. Metallic Untinted Neutral
Base - 08-200
This product is used for the
production of X-otic Colours extensive product line or
colour series of Sparklin’ Metallic Basecoats. When our
toners or tint pastes are added to our Metallic Untinted
Neutral Base (product number 08-200) our extensive
product line or colour series of Sparklin’ Metallic
Basecoats is produced. See description below.
Sparklin’ Metallic Basecoats - 08:
product line or colour series commence with the product
pre-fix number 08. The Sparklin’ Metallic
Basecoats in this colour series contain a unique polymer
that gives the aluminum particles the ability to rapidly
orientate, align, and then fix their position. The
Sparklin’ Metallic Basecoats we manufacture were
designed to provide maximum visual effect.
Note: When an Untinted Silver
Metallic Basecoat is chosen, concentrated Sparklee
Silver Metallic Basecoat, product number 08-100 will be
used. This most often takes place when a Candee
Mid-Coat is sprayed directly over Untinted Silver
Metallic Basecoat. Product number 08-100 is our only
factory pak basecoat.
2. Pearl Untinted Neutral Base
- 12-200
This product is used for the
production of X-otic Colours four product lines or
colour series of Pearl Basecoats. X-otic Colours has a
spectacular selection of iridescent dry pearl products.
Four complete Pearl Basecoat product lines or colour
series are produced when our three different types of
dry pearls are added to our Pearl Untinted Neutral Base.

X-otic Colours extensive product
lines of Pearl Basecoats are known for their quality and
iridescence. The X-otic Colours Custom Paint
System is designed for experimentation. Custom
painters will want to experiment with our dry pearls in
both our Pearl Untinted Neutral Base and any of our
other neutral base products to produce new and unique

Pearlin’ Basecoats - 76:
product line or colour series commence with the product
pre-fix number 76. X-otic Colours has selected dry
pearls whose particle size is carefully controlled.
This is essential in producing uniform effects in each
pearl colour within this series. Pearlin’
Basecoats offer unparalleled quality and iridescent
effect.
Misty Pearl Basecoats - 77: product
line or colour series commence with the product pre-fix
number 77. Particle size influences the pearl
luster affect and adds another dimension of beauty and
quality. The Misty Pearl Basecoats were designed
to offer greater visual impact by using larger pearl
particles. Misty Pearl Basecoats contain these larger
size particles composed of platelets of flat mica coated
with titanium dioxide and/or iron oxide. Misty
Pearl Basecoats have a pearl/metallic effect.
Pigmented Pearlin’ Basecoats - 79:
product line or colour series commence with the product
pre-fix number 79. This product gives custom
painters the opportunity to work with tinted colours
containing pearls.
Mirage Pearl Basecoats - 14: product
line or colour series commence with the product pre-fix
number 14. When Mirage Pearls (dry) are added to
our to our Pearlin’ Untinted Neutral Base product number
12-200, the product line or colour series of Mirage
Pearl Basecoats is produced. See also: Dry
Pearls in this product information guide. Mirage
Pearl Basecoats have the ability to present colour
shifts when viewed under different light intensity and
various angles of light refraction.
3. Imagin' Untinted Neutral
Base - 20-101
This product is used for the
production of the X-otic Colours product line or colour
series of Mirage Imagin’ Basecoats and Pearl Imagin’
Basecoats. See description below:
Mirage Imagin’ Basecoats - 20:
product line or colour series commence with the product
pre-fix number 20. When Mirage Pearls (dry) are
added to our Imagin’ Untinted Neutral Base product
number 20-101, the Mirage Imagin’ Basecoat product line
or colour series is produced. Mirage Imagin’
Basecoats combine two effects. Colour shifts take
place in addition to presenting what has been referred
to as a marbled or patterned effect. This product
allows for application and expression of artistic
creativity through patterns. Some custom painters
have used sponges, poly film, aluminum foil, lace, and a
variety of other techniques in the application process
to achieve unique effects. Mirage Imagin’ Basecoats are
not reduced.
Pearl Imagin’ Basecoats - 21:
product line or colour series commence with the product
pre-fix number 21. Pearl Imagin’ Basecoats can be
used to produce a variety of artistic patterns (marble,
snakeskin, lace, etc.). Pearl Imagin’ Basecoats are not
reduced.
4. Solid Colour Untinted
Neutral Base - 34-100
This product is used for the
production of X-otic Colours Solid Colour Basecoats.
When our extensive line of toners and tint pastes are
added to our Solid Colour Untinted Neutral Base product
number 34-100 the product line or colour series of Solid
Colour Basecoats is produced.
Solid Colour Basecoats - 05: product
line or colour series commence with the product pre-fix
number 05. This new line of products is currently
under development. We will produce a product line
that will exceed your expectations!
5. Candee Mid-Coat Untinted
Neutral Base - 32-200
This product is used for the
production of X-otic Colours product line or colour
series of Candee Mid-Coats. The simple addition of
toners and tint pastes to this Candee Mid-Coat Untinted
Neutral Base creates an entire line of Candee Mid-Coats.
Candee Mid-Coats - 24: product line
or colour series commence with the product pre-fix
number 24. Candee Mid-Coats add visual appeal to the
finished product by adding both depth and gloss.
Candee Mid-Coats can be applied over X-otic Colours
product line of Sparklin' Metallic Basecoats or our
product line of Pearl Basecoats. Candee Mid-Coats
are most frequently applied over our concentrated
Sparklee Silver Metallic Basecoat product number 08-100
which is a factory pak product.
The X-otic Colours Custom Design and
Styling Book comes with 44 Candee colour overlay
transparencies. By placing these Candee colour
transparencies over a light, medium or dark shade of
illustrated metallic and pearl basecoats, an endless
array of colours can be viewed and then formulated.
No other system allows the custom painter to work with
such precision and variety to create truly unique custom
colours.
Note: Candee Mid-Coats are
filled to 23 ounces in 32-ounce quart containers.
This allows room for the direct addition of catalyst and
Candee tints. Candee Mid-Coats require urethane
catalyst product number 40-100. Our urethane
catalyst is sold in an 8 oz container and is mixed
directly into the quart can. The Candee Mid-Coat
will then be slightly over catalyzed for faster curing.
Direct mixing of the catalyst into the quart container
reduces common mixing errors.
Note: Candee Mid-Coat Untinted
Neutral Base, product number 32-200 is a multifunctional
neutral base that is also used as our Production Cleer
with the same product number 32-200 -- See also: Cleers
& Urethane Catalyst in this Product Information Guide.
6. Jammin’ Untinted Neutral
Base - 34-200
This product is used for production
of X-otic Colours product line or colour series of
Jammin’ Coats. When our tint pastes and toners are
added to our Jammin’ Untinted Neutral Base, product
number 34-200,[1] our product line or colour series of
Jammin Coats is produced. This untinted neutral
base was designed to rapidly attain depth of colour to
match Candee Mid-Coats, shorten application times, and
to minimize the number of application coats.
Jammin’ Coats - 07: product line or
colour series commence with the product pre-fix number
07. Following the easy to understand instructions
in our formula book creates this entire line of
products. The Jammin’ Untinted Neutral Base is most
often tinted to match our Candee Mid-Coats.
This is a fast drying product that
can be applied within trunks and under hoods.
Jammin Coats will dry to a semi-gloss finish. A high
gloss finish may be achieved by following the directions
contained in our Product Applications Directions
Booklet. One or two coats of Production Cleer,
product number 32-200, should be applied over Jammin'
Coats in areas susceptible to damage or chemical
intrusion.
Note: Jammin Untinted Neutral
Base product number 34-200, is a multifunctional base
that is also used as our Protective/Bonding/Jammin’
Cleer with the same product number 34-200 -- See: Cleers
& Urethane Catalyst in this Product Information Guide.
Note: Most custom painters
apply their Pearl and Metallic Basecoats in door jams
and door step-plates followed by two to three coats of
Production Cleer product number 32-200. The
application of Production Cleer to these Basecoats will
increase gloss, increase scuff resistance, and assist in
limiting damage from chemical intrusion.
